Training of highly qualified specialists (bachelors and masters) of the vocational training program "Internal combustion engines" (ICE) involves studying the construction, theory, design, operation, repair and maintenance of the ICE. They have marine and ground transport (primarily road transport), agricultural and industrial purpose. In recent years, new training courses have been introduced into the training curricula: marketing of the ICE, production and usage of new fuels (particularly, biofuels), conversion of engines and their units, eco-friendly technologies using ICE, etc. Attention is also paid to the study of the operation, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of modern engines of various purposes.
Specialists of the vocational training program work at shipbuilding and machine-building factories and enterprises, car service stations, car sales and motor transport companies, in design bureaus and research institutes, in marine and river ports, in the navy, in railway depots, stationary energy facilities, oil and gas extraction and transportation enterprises, agro-industrial enterprises and other firms and organizations where internal combustion engines are used. Graduates, who have demonstrated the aptitude for the research activities, are given the opportunity to continue their postgraduate studies in the scientific speciality "Engines and Power Plants".

- Lecturer of higher education institution of the II-IV accreditation level.
